ABOUT US

We are in a people industry, and it is our people that give Heavy Trucks its advantage.  We run our business like a family, and all work together to help each other out and make things happen.  You can feel the difference as soon as you walk in.

Our staff are our best resource and we would like to introduce these people to you.

Before emigrating to New Zealand I worked for Caterpillar in a research and development facility which involved working on prototype engines and machinery.  I have now been in NZ for 2 years and love the country and the working environment here at Heavy Trucks.  I have a lovely wife and a great son and enjoy motor racing (particularly Motor GP), travel, golf and snowboarding.

I have been around the transport industry for some time now and hope to continue with this.  I started with a mechanical background before moving through the industry into my current sales role.  Outside of work my passions are motorcycling, diving and fishing. I also manage a women's rugby team and am a proud advocate for redheads.

I have been around trucks my whole life and am qualified as a heavy diesel mechanic.  I have been in spare parts for the last 12 years and have had experience with most brands of trucks.  Outside work I have a loving partner and am the proud father of two young boys.  I am a collector of classic ford muscle cars and have a keen interest in motorsport and have spent many years crewing for top level drag racing teams.

I enjoy the electronic diagnostic side of the business, and enjoy motorcycling and snowboarding in my time off.

I enjoy my work at Heavy Trucks as it allows me to do things that I love doing such as light engineering fabrication, chassis work and general maintenance and repair work.  In my spare time I work on my long term project car which I intend to display at shows and in magazines.  I crew on a couple of racing teams including a V8 touring car team and an XE falcon in the NZ Muscle car league

Being in the heavy motor industry for nearly 28 year and have been involved in most aspects of the industry, I enjoy the rewards and challenges that the industry offers on a daily basis.

I have recently moved to Christchurch from Hokitika with my partner and enjoy big city life. In my spare time I like to play golf and go scuba diving.

Before emigrating to NZ I worked for ERF/MAN Trucks back in England. I moved over to NZ back in 2007 and just could not leave the spanners alone. I have clicked up some 14 years of being a mechanic and still love the challenge of the job.

Outside of work I enjoy outdoor activities such as hunting, walking and snowboarding.
